I met Sam and Ricky through Sam’s brother, Logan. Logan and I were rock climbing partners. Conveniently he was the DJ for the wedding. He started the reception by telling Sam and Ricky to hold out their hands, Ricky’s hand on top. Then announced over the speakers to everyone in the room that it was the last time Ricky would have the upper hand in the relationship.
They brought their wonderful dog to the wedding and sent him down the aisle with one of the bridesmaids. He barked immediately after the first kiss and I still believe that he has impeccable comedic timing. Their wedding was packed with so many wonderful things. An adorable dog, the groomsmen wearing superhero socks, surrounded by an art gallery. The food was amazing as well. Outside of the venue, a portable pizza oven was parked. The gentlemen working around the oven could produce a pizza in about 90 seconds. From the time the dough was being stretched to the time it came out of the oven. It was amazing to watch.
This isn’t the first time I’ve photographed a wedding at the Goggle Works, and each time I’m reminded how fun it is. The light is always amazing. The walls in every room are white and the light bounces around everywhere, making for soft and even light from every angle.
